Description:


As e.near’s Windows Application Packager, you will be responsible for:

• Maintain existing and create and install new application packages for Windows servers and workstations.

• Deploying packages to many different Windows platforms, from Windows servers to VDIs

• Act as one of the points of contacts for desktop application deployment and occasional support

 

Responsibilities:

• Build common application packages deployable within an SCCM environment which may include but not limited to servers, workstations, laptops, VDIs

• Responsible for process and procedures for application packaging and documentation.

• Develop software installation scripts and provide code review for complex software installations

• Assist clients and business owners in advanced level software installation package distribution troubleshooting

• Update/Create documentation as needed (user guides, admin guides, knowledge base articles, FAQs, quick reference guides)

• Create standard operating procedures on all solutions implemented

• Research, evaluate, and remain current on emerging tools, techniques, and IT technologies

• Work closely with client to perform technical and requirements analysis

• Working effectively in a collaborative and innovative team-oriented environment

• Clearly communicates and sets expectations of all workflow tasks

• Actively work with multiple groups to review work and to remove impediments/roadblocks

• Provides weekly statuses & estimates of all priority and non-priority projects along with recommended scope or schedule changes based on capacity and unforeseen challenges.

• Weekly review of all change requests)

• Work in cooperation with development teams on adoption of modern technologies continuously

• Participates in strategy planning discussions with technical, business, and client partners

 

Required Skills:

• Experience with SCCM or other software packaging type tools

• Experience with Citrix and Nutanix technologies

• Experience with Operating System Deployment and manage Task Sequences

• Demonstrated experience with packaging with other team members and provide junior technical leadership

•  A thorough understanding of how applications install on the Microsoft Windows platforms.

•  Experience or knowledge of Power Shell and/or VB scripting.

•  Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Registry, and ability to query or modify settings
