Description:
As e.near’s Corporate Accountant, you will be:
• Part of the Corporate Accounting team within the Finance & Corporate Services division
• You will manage all accounting matters for our Lisbon branch; this covers mainly:
o Manage all accounting transactions and ensure compliance with IFRS and local requirements
o Handle monthly, half-yearly and annual closings activities
o Performing bank accounts and intercompany reconciliations
o Actively liaise with Corporate Accounting team in Zurich and other stakeholders within the Group (e.g., Securities Accounting, Group Tax, etc.)
• You will also support our Accounts Payable (AP) team; this covers mainly:
o Actively manage AP tasks for your entity and take on further responsibilities in the Accounts Payable team
o Monitor and ensure payments are performed in a timely manner; Follow up on pending invoices
o Actively liaise with other AP team members in Zurich and Guernsey
• Ad-hoc tasks and involvement in projects with an accounting and reporting angle that will occur from time to time
• Additional responsibilities within the Corporate Accounting team as identified
Required Skills:
• Bachelor or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or similar
• Sound knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and local) and reporting systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently, manage own goals and set priorities
• Excellent organizational skills for maintaining clear and accurate accounting records
• Good oral and written English skills; German is a plus
• Prior experience in a similar role, ideally within an international organization, is an asset
