During November, e.near offered food baskets to the “Pestalozzi” non-profit association. It helped 20 families of Milagres, Brazil.
Inês Malheiro, the CEO of e.near, has been helping the Association Pestalozzi of Milagres for a long time. Whenever she can, she goes to Milagres, Brazil, and aids them. But this year that volunteering work wasn’t possible due to the pandemic. However, helping from a distance was still possible.
The CEO then decided to help by donating food baskets, and e.near took the lead from then on. Everything was arranged with the Association in order to make the donation a reality. In late November, the food baskets were finally delivered by the Pestalozzi staff. The donation helped a total of 20 families.
During the delivery of the food baskets to the families, the Association took some pictures using e.near’s shirts as a sign of gratitude. “We’re glad to see that the families of our special children are happy and grateful. These are low-income families who need our help and care”, said the Association’s President, Jeany Gorgonha, referring to the donation made by e.near.
The Pestalozzi of Milagres Association, based on the state of Ceará, is part of the Fenapestalozzi network, composed of 232 Pestalozzi entities spread all over the Brazilian territory. They aid underprivileged families since 1926.
